“Cracked Pots, Harmony and Inclusion”

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore), MDAS, is a self-help organisation formed in March 2000 to empower people with Muscular Dystrophy as well as their families.

This pottery and painting workshop will teach participants to use clay to mould, sculpt and create vessels. Through pottery making, participants will be encouraged to embrace and appreciate the cracks and flaws in each of us. Participants will also be involved in painting together with persons with disabilities by using brush on canvas with restricted movements. This is to help gain better understanding and awareness of the physical limitations that persons with disabilities experience.
